Volunteers at the Hedrick Ranch Nature Preserve

Saturday, Decemeber 14th, 2019

Eleven Volunteers came out last Saturday to clear the Reed Smith Trail from fallen trees, brambles and some mustard and bristly oxtongue along the way. As we made our way around the trail we found coyote and bob cat scat, frogs, many different plants and more. It was a cool and cloudy day which made good conditions for some sawing and heavy lifting! It was a great start to more days ahead of clearing invasive weeds, maintaining the trail and seed collecting. There’s also time for birding, botany and enjoying being outside in the riparian woodland.
