Hedrick Ranch Receives Earth Day Award

On April 17, 2018, the restoration project at Hedrick Ranch Nature Area (HRNA) was recognized by the Board of Supervisors at their 2018 Ventura County Earth Day Awards event. Friends of the Santa Clara River board member and head of the project at HRNA, Sandy Hedrick, accepted the award on behalf of HRNA. FSCR is grateful for the work that has been done at Hedrick Ranch by volunteers and proud of Sandy for leading this riparian restoration project.

About HRNA:

The Hedrick Ranch Nature Area is located near Santa Paula, California. It is a 223 acre reserve that is owned by Friends of the Santa Clara River and State Coastal Conservancy. It is one of the first properties to be purchased to be part of the Santa Clara River Parkway. Restoration efforts are ongoing and anyone can participate during volunteer work days.
