Event Information:
Come learn about the Santa Clara River and how it is YOUR Resource! Clean the River, learn about its biology and hydrology, and find out how you can help our efforts to build a river trail system to the sea!
Remove paper, plastic and all manner of junk along the top of the south bank levee and a bit into the river. This your chance to see how quiet and really natural the river environment can be. A river exhibit booth will also be there to learn about the environmental science issues at the Santa Clara River.
Wear long pants and closed shoes. Bring gloves, filled reusable water bottle, and sun protection. This Clean Up Nature volunteer work day is a partnership with Ventura Sierra Club who is running the site. Kids 14 and under must be with an adult. No dogs please.
Note that going on this Sierra Club outing you are potentially around both individuals vaccinated and unvaccinated. It is your choice to attend the outing knowing this information. The leader can not and should not reveal the status of participants vaccination or reject a participant based on their vaccination status. DO NOT attend if you are experiencing any possible COVID symptoms or are sick.
Street parking near Windrow Park, walk up through the gate onto the levee to sign in.
