Hedrick Ranch Nature Area

Hedrick Ranch Nature Area

Hedrick Ranch Nature Area is a wildlife habitat preserve, originally established in 1997, the first land to be protected along the Santa Clara River for the goal of a restored riparian corridor with healthy native wildlife habitat. FSCR has been the original steward for HRNA for nearly 30 years. The preserve is home to three endangered bird species and critical habitat for local native flora and fauna

Event Information

Friends of the Santa Clara River (FSCR) hosts volunteer events on the first Sunday of every month from 9am – 12pm. Have fun maintaining birding trails, working in the plant nursery, and weeding invasive plants. You will learn about our local Santa Clara River Watershed, including its ecology, wildlife, and the riparian restoration happening along the river. Volunteer days are essential to help to maintain this conserved area. The event will take place in the event of light rain, but will be canceled during heavier rain or mud on the farm road access. Please look for updates on Meetup prior to the day.

The event is hosted by our HRNA Stewardship Manager. Please reach out to her at (424) 645-9392 or look for details on our Meetup page.

All Ages welcome!
