Sespe Cienega Restoration Site Workday:
When: Saturday, February 2nd, 9am – 11am
Where: Sespe Cienega/Fillmore Fish Hatchery, 612 E Telegraph Rd, Fillmore, CA 93016, USA (map)
This volunteer restoration event will be held at the entrance of the Fillmore Fish Hatchery, also known as the Sespe Cienega. This site is a gateway to future restoration efforts that are well underway on properties adjacent to the Fish Hatchery property that include Arundo removal from 175 contiguous acres in the watershed.
The event will be held from 9:00am-11:00am. Stay after to learn about the native plants in the garden. We will be doing any of the following tasks: weed removal, plant installation, fence installation, and mulching. Some are light tasks, others heavy duty. All can be dirty, dusty, hot or muddy!
